An orchid is a plant with complex flowers.
In Heavy Rain, each of the young boys murdered by the Origami Killer is found with an orchid on his chest. The killer leaves traces of orchid pollen wherever he goes, which helps Norman Jayden track him with the ARI. Madison Paige also shows Ann Sheppard an orchid in order to help her remember the name of John Sheppard's twin brother.
