Height[]

There should be the killer's height listed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.6.95.19 (wallcontribs)

Spoiler[]

I think the following sentence in the “Identity” section is an implicit spoiler (for it strongly suggests to discard several possibilities, and even worse, implicitely heads the reader towards one specific possibility if you catch my drift): “The identity of the Origami Killer is found toward the end of the game and can either be discovered by Norman Jayden, Madison Paige, Ethan Mars, or all or none of them.”; someone should add a “Spoiler” template (I can’t do it myself since the page is protected). — 83.115.237.182 13:01, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Nah that's not spoiler-y at all. Anyone who's midway through the game shouldn't be on the wiki anyway, if they have any common sense. 213.249.213.20 17:24, August 28, 2014 (UTC)

"Male" Gender[]

The killer is never specified to be male at any point in the story. The "he" pronoun is not exclusively male, but can also be used as gender-neutral, so the use of the "he" pronoun in the briefings doesn't confirm his gender identity as known to be male. Even when he shows up, it's possible a female could have such a large stature, especially considering that he could be a non-transitioned transwoman.

Unless the ARI says "Male" at one point that I didn't notice, there's no reason he should be tagged as "Male Gender" in his info block. I assume the original editor did just not know that "he" has a gender-neutral definition. Look it up in the dictionary if you don't believe me.Passhonrippu (talk) 10:15, 13 August 2021 (UTC)

This is too much of a stretch for me. "They" can also be used as a singular pronoun, but it's never once used when referring to the Origami Killer. Moreover, none of the suspects that Jayden, Blake, Shelby, or Madison (in The Taxidermist) track down are female - if they were, people like Lauren Winter and Susan Bowles could fit the killer's profile and the game would tell a very different story. You can easily argue that it's exclusionist for women not to be suspected of being serial killers, but since the Origami Killer is assumed to be male long before his identity is revealed, I see no need to change this. -Mythril Wyrm (talk) 13:24, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
